Medical students find out their residency match during March Match Day tradition
Top residency among Upstate students is internal medicine, followed by family medicine and pediatrics. Nearly 80 students—more than half the graduating class—will remain in New York for their residency work.

World Sleep Day raises awareness of need for more restorative sleep to stay healthy
One out of every three adults suffers from clinically recognizable insomnia and more than 80 sleep disorders, raising concern for failing physical and mental health from lack of sleep.

Drug Disposal Day is March 20
Upstate Poison Center will hold a Drug Disposal Day Saturday, March 20, from 9 a.m. to noon at Walgreens, 2329 James St., in Syracuse. The event will help the public get rid of unwanted or expired medications safely.

Executives and other representatives from minority‑ and women‑owned business enterprises will gather at Upstate Medical University to learn more about doing business with state entities, such as Central New York's numerous SUNY institutions.
